Dragon Slayer - Kreg Christensen was a mud racer in the early 1990's, and had a very long history in motor sports. It was only natural for him to progress into monster trucks, which he did in the mid 1990's. However, it wasn't until 1997 when he really got a solid business started.
As TV opportunities arose, Kreg Christensen was one of the first to put his trucks at the forefront of the monster truck circuit. Kreg's first real success was his White Chevy S-10, Dragon Slayer. The truck had a large green lizard on the side, spitting a fireball down at a "Slayer", an ironic twist to the name. The white S-10 made its TV debut in Des Moines, Iowa in sub zero weather conditions. Featured on TNN's Motor Madness, Dragon Slayer and Kreg's second truck "Misbehavin" (Driven by Julie Christensen) impressed the TV audience as well as promoters. Dragon Slayer and Misbehavin' ran together up until late 2000, when Kreg introduced a new truck, Kaptain Insano.
Kaptain Insano ran with KC4x4 (Team KCM) for a year and a quarter, sporting a 2000 Ford Ranger body. A surefire crowd favorite, Kaptain Insano and driver B.J. Johnson won an amazing 90% of their races during the truck's rookie year. Early 2001 also marked the end of 'Misbehavin', as it was retired for good.
Dragon Slayer continued to run 2000 with a brand new H1 Hummer body, the first of its kind. An extravagant paintjob filled the sides of the black body, with the distinctive "Dragon Slayer" logo across the rear panels. This paintjob only lasted through the end of the year, as KC4x4 continued to experiment with different looks.
Kreg and his team of drivers continued to run 2001 in much the same fashion as 2000, except with the paintjob change of Dragon Slayer. The old black Hummer was now more recognizable yellow. The graphics on the side of the truck remained similar, as did the Dragon Slayer logo. Kreg Christensen and team continued to rock venues across America and Canada, and won an amazing percent of their races allowing them to experiment further the next year.
2002 marked a new era for Kreg Christensen and the crew, as KC4x4 was renamed to Team KCM in order to reflect the Team's new dedication to being the best monster truck team on the circuit. With all the success of the past, Kreg decided to go ahead and pack in four monster trucks instead of two. Dragon Slayer and Kaptain Insano were now accompanied by Mischievous and Obsession II (aka Major Obsession). Mischievous debuted in early 2002, sporting a 2002 Dodge Dakota body a graphic of a "jester" on the doors of the body. Obsession II looked similar to Rick Swanson's Obsession I, with a purple splash on the front of the truck featuring a yellow background. Kaptain Insano also received a new look, with a 3-D body featuring a skull theme. Page Rank - Alexa's Traffic Rank
